Tips and Tricks: Web Part Zone Properties

11 January 2011, 2 comments
It's 2011 and time for a new Kentico CMS related tip which is very useful and can be easily overlooked.

properties.pngI am guessing you are familiar with the web part properties dialog. The dialog is basically a mix of some default properties (visibility settings, web part container settings, HTML enveloppe settings etc...) and settings related to the selected web part. What you might not know is that you can also setup these default properties in the web part zone. This allows you to apply the default settings globally for the added web parts.

Hi Brian! Thanks for the comment. Yeah it is really great and we use it more and more. Especially for adding a single container for multiple web parts and/or controlling the visibility for certain roles.
Cheers!
